This is just a reminder that your new HomeSC.com account is now available! You can begin using this account immediately. Simply go to http://mail.HomeSC.com and log in! You can also access your new account by going to http://www.HomeSC.com and clicking on "Check Email." From there, choose the HomeSC.com option and log in! Your username and password to log in will remain the same. Your password is case sensitive, but has been defaulted to all lowercase. (In very few instances, you may not be able to use your existing password. If you have problems logging in, please contact Internet support at 888-227-4040.)
There are a few things to keep in mind while using your new email account:
Web-based format. This email is completely web-based. (The option to set up your email account to be checked via Outlook, Outlook Express or any other of the most popular email clients is available! For information regarding this please go to http://www.homesc.com and click on the "Internet Tools" link on the left. From here, select "Email Setup Instructions".)
We will be transferring the email from your "old" email account to your new one. This transfer will begin on March 25th and may take up to two weeks to complete. If you do not immediately see your saved emails from your old account in your new HomeSC.com account, do not be alarmed. We will notify you once the email transfer is complete, so you can check to be sure you have the emails you need. ****PLEASE NOTE: THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO EMAILS THAT HAVE BEEN DOWNLOADED TO YOUR COMPUTER VIA OUTLOOK, OUTLOOK EXPRESS, THUNDERBIRD, ETC. AND REMOVED FROM OUR EMAIL SERVERS. WE DO NOT HAVE THIS INFORMATION TO SEND YOU. YOUR SAVED EMAILS WILL REMAIN IN THE PROGRAM YOU HAVE BEEN USING TO CHECK YOUR EMAILS.****
Until March 25th, you will need to continue checking email at your old address the way you currently do. On March 25th, however, the old web mail interface will go away and the settings you have stored in your email client (such as Outlook or Outlook Express) will no longer work.
Beginning March 25th, you will only be able to access your email by logging into your new account.
You will be able to receive email from your old email address for one year after our transition date. We will be forwarding this email into your new HomeSC.com account beginning March 25th. You will not, however, be able to send email from your old address.
We have stored your address book from your web mail account. This information is current up to February 29th at 6:00 p.m. Any contacts you have entered after that time will need to be re-entered into your new HomeSC.com address book (called "Contacts" now). We will not be gathering this information for you after February 29th. We have emailed a file with these addresses to your new HomeSC.com account with instructions on how you may import them into your new account. If you did not receive this email, or need to have your contacts resent, please go to http://www.homesc.com and click on the "Internet Tools" link. Then, log in using your username and password and then click the link to have your address book resent. ****PLEASE NOTE: THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO CONTACTS THAT HAVE BEEN STORED IN OUTLOOK, OUTLOOK EXPRESS, THUNDERBIRD, ETC. WE DO NOT HAVE THIS INFORMATION TO SEND YOU. YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION WILL REMAIN IN THE PROGRAM YOU HAVE BEEN USING TO CHECK YOUR EMAILS.****
You will no longer be able to add email accounts or change passwords for your old email accounts. To add email accounts or change existing passwords, please go to www.HomeSC.com and click on the "Internet Tools" link. Log in with your current information and you may then make the changes you desire.
All of the changes and improvements are being made to improve the quality of the email service you receive from Home. We are taking all of the necessary steps to make the transition a smooth one for you. It's what you expect from "Neighbors Serving Neighbors!"
